As the Dr. instructed I spent the past several days resting, so I could recover from whatever virus I has. I think we have seen enough of our apartment to last us for some time to come, especially Elder as he wasn't sick. Although on Monday he did go out and get some water for the church and a bottle for us in the apartment and did some grocery shopping since we had been gone for almost 2 weeks and had no food in the house. I sent an SMS to Sister Kiki asking if she had received Elders email about doing the questionnaire for the University that Harto wants to attend, since it is the University that Sister Kiki teaches at, she said she hadn't checked her email lately, but would do so.
On Thursday we decided to spend at least several hours out and see how it goes. So we headed to the church and spent some time scanning documents, and taking care of some materials we received from the Service Center. Sister Kiki said she had not receive the email so we can only guess that because Elder had a very limited internet connection it never made it out. So he resent the email.
Friday we spent some time at the church again. I still get tired just being out but it gets better each day. Sister Imelda has been emailing me some papers and presentations she has to do at work, in English to check her grammer a such.
On Saturday Elder got an email from Pres. Donald asking if we would help Sari get her vaccinations before she left Medan, because he got a notice from the missionary department about her still needing them. For the past couple of weeks we have checked with her periodically to see if she has made contact with the hospital to see if they have the flu vaccination, and she keeps telling us not yet. Just after talking about this and Elder asking if I remembered Sari's password, he went out to check on something, and who should show up at church other than Sari, what timing. So after we visited for a few minutes we were able to determine that for one she just hadn't updated the information on line so it looked like she needed more shots than she still needs, and so we updated what we could and then since she said she remembered the number they gave her Elder suggested that she use his phone to give the hospital a call and see if they had the vaccine. She entered the number "133" and got nothing so she said there must be something wrong with the number, so we then had a discussion about phone numbers and extensions. We figured we would just wait until tomorrow when she brought the information she had at home to church and then try and pursue it a little more on Monday. We visited with several of the young adults who were arriving at the building for institute, and then had our meething with the BML. Elder then suggested to me that I take a moment a see if I could find the number for Columbia Asia. I was able to find the number so Elder then had Elder Haws call them and see if they had the vaccine. We had no idea of the proper words to use to carry on that conversation., and the phone is the hardest place we have to have a conversation in Indonesian. They said they had the vaccine in stock. So at about 4:15, we decided it might be a good idea to take the time to go and try to get the shot today. So Elder interrupted institute class and suggested that to Sari and off we went, but first we had to go to her house to get her vaccination records and then to the hospital (opposite directions of course). But in a short time we were able to get it taken care of, now all she needs is the final hepatitis shot which she can't get until she is in Australia. We made it back to the church about 6 and updated Sari's vaccination information online, and spent about an hour visiting with those who had been there for English, and were waiting to go play sports.
We then called it a night and headed home for the evening.
We just learned that we will fly home through Toyko and arrive in LA on Monday the 13th of July at 11:35 am. we plan to stay in LA and visit Elders dad and mom until Sat. am and drive back by way of Phoenix because they are having a shower for Dani, and thought we would try to stop by for that and then drive home to Tucson that night from there.
Sunday I was released from the Primary Presidency and Loisa was called in my place. I went to Relief Society for the first time in over a year in our branch today. We have gotten approval for 3 of our keyboards to be permnantly placed with students and we are working on another to happen before we leave. I have committed to play in sacrement meeting next week. Nervous and just want to get it over with. We spent some time visiting with Mei and talking about her mission. She leaves in about 2 weeks. Her Dad spoke at church today. Rio was also there. What a difference from when we first got here and no one in the family attended to now when all of the family attends most of the time when not sick or working. Mei is already seeing the blessings coming from her willingness to serve the Lord.
