Our week was pretty slow as we headed into the weekend to leave for Jakarta and Zone conference and to pick up Jesse and Lyla for a visit.
On Friday we got some boxes packed up to take to Jakarta and have transported back to the States. We made arrangements for Bro. Manalu to transport the young missionaries to the airport on Monday, so they don't have to take a taxi. We also got ourselves ready to travel to Jakarta tomorrow. We made a lot of progress on our Book of Mormon reading, we only have 3 chapters left in Indonesian before we finish. Our process of reading is to individually read a chapter and translate it and read it English. Then we read through the chapter taking turns by verse at a time in Indonesian and our English translation. The hope was that in addition to reading the BOM we would improve our Indonesian, it helped our reading a lot and our pronunciation, but it didn't help as much as we had hoped with our understanding when someone else speaks.
We spent Saturday traveling to Jakarta and spent some time visiting with Pres. & Sister Donald. We then went out to dinner.
On Sunday we attended church in the English Speaking Jakarta 3 Ward. We then had lunch with the Donalds. We then took a taxi to the airport to pick up Jesse and Lyla. They have 2 exits from the international terminal, so we had one of us at gate. We then went to our hotel and got settled.
